Mbira DzaVadzimu

The mbira dza vadzimu is today the most commonly played mbira type in Zimbabwe. It has 22-25 keys arranged in three registers, and is played with both thumbs and the right index finger. Since it has become so common, there’s plenty of information about it on other websites, unlike the other mbira-related instruments on this site, so I decided to focus more on the other ones for now.
